The view for route learning from 977873 was pretty good. There was a driver to work the train, a driver instructor to teach other traincrew about the diversionary routes around Nottingham and a Driver Manager to sign off assessments. All so that trains could still operate through the East Midlands whilst Nottingham was closed for resignalling work. Most important piece of equipment was the kettle! Possibly taken at Eastcroft depot.
