Reflection at Windmill End. At work on an early evening service from Old Hill to Dudley was this original liveried Gloucester class 122 single car unit on 31st August 1962. The view was taken from Springfield Road on the ouskirts of Netherton and it also shows a sunken narrow boat on the Dudley canal. At the time of the photograph the station was only 5 years old, a 'modern' replacement for the previous generations of wooden shelter, given the lonely location and proximity to the canal towpath the station proved irresistible to vandals. The stations on this line all closed 15th June 1964.
