Life on-board the ER General Manager saloon: Wickham 975006. This is the front saloon, the rear of the vehicle to the left. Date unknown. Andrew Chilcott has identified the smiling young man as Colin Hall. His roles on the railway included Head of Acceptance at Railtrack then Network Rail between 1998 and 2004. He and his team dealt with acceptance primarily of rolling stock but also plant & machinery and suchlike, and accepting preserved machines onto the controlled infrastructure.
