A Swindon Cross-Country DMU at Malvern Wells, heading to Cardiff General, sometime in 1959. DMSL W50679 leads, with a "C" sticker in the leading passenger window rather than using the letter holder brackets adjacent to it on the bodyside. A 9 car Swindon Cross Country formation sweeps northwards with a Cardiff to Birmingham Snow Hill service at Malvern Link on the 5th August 1958. With steam blowing from the safety valves 94xx 0-6-0 pannier tank 8427 is heading for the goods yard.
