Barassie, August 1963. This is a Park Royal railbus used for Ayr-Kilmarnock services. On several occasions, a steam hauled two-coach set had to step in when the thing failed. Here it is off to Ayr towed by a Black 5 to get a new rubber band fitted. Corriebob.

Believed to be from the waning days of the Crieff line, we have a Park Royal railbus stopping to exchange tablets with signalman Willie Doig at Crieff before continuing on to Comrie. The picture was taken by an unknown photographer from the Duchlage Road bridge and is shared by the kind permission of Stuart Grant Brand. Unknown.
